I'm a travel blogger turned author, editor, and publisher. Over the past decade I've visited 70+ countries across six continents, built a readership of 29,000+ people at Expert Vagabond, and turned everything I learned into books.

Today I write about the things I care about most: cryptocurrency security, AI-powered development, and seeing the world on a budget. I also help other authors bring their stories to print through my publishing company.

I believe the best books come from people who've actually done the thing. Every guide I write is tested in the field, not compiled from search results.

Purple Squirrel Media is an independent publishing house I founded to produce books across crypto, AI, travel, and creative storytelling. We handle the full pipeline: manuscript editing, cover design, formatting, multi-platform distribution, and marketing.

We've published authors including Steven Karsten (military sci-fi), Nick Spanos (Bitcoin Center NYC founder), Teresa Castagnino (design thought leadership), and Scarlett Arana (BitBasel CryptoArt curator).

Coldstar & AI Development

Built Coldstar, an air-gapped Solana cold wallet. Developing AI-powered tools and writing books on Claude Code, prompt engineering, and shipping software with AI.

2025

Purple Squirrel Media Founded

Launched the publishing company. Published The Crypto Survival Guide and Roger Ramjett and S.T.A.R. Began editing books for external authors.

2024

Crypto & Web3

Deep dive into cryptocurrency security, Solana development, and decentralized systems. Started writing The Crypto Survival Guide based on real self-custody experience.

2012

Expert Vagabond

Launched the travel blog that would grow to 29,000+ readers. Began documenting budget travel strategies across 70+ countries and six continents.
